Now Murcia denounces trafficking of large tonnage and debris in a lane orchard El Palmar (14/04/2016)

MURCIA NOW denounces the continuous traffic of heavy trucks and accumulation of building materials and debris in a lane orchard El Palmar, the Lujanes.

The municipal formation says it has received numerous complaints from residents of El Palmar, due to continued heavy vehicles this way narrow garden without sidewalks, where neighbors have even off the road passing trucks.

These vehicles come to a plot in that lane in which the materials accumulate works weathering and debris.

In this situation, now Murcia has presented two letters to the head of Traffic and Town Planning, Environment and Huerta.

Councillor and spokesman Now Murcia, Alicia Morales, stresses that the passage of heavy trucks by lanes garden "is given in most parts of the municipality" and stressed that "we must not allow the rails orchard become industrial estates and even less, if possible, in landfills ".

The mayor stressed that "it is illogical that we have half-empty polygons and instead have industries that are installed in garden area. The presence of these companies and the movement of trucks pose a danger to pedestrians and cyclists, are a source of noise and dust and damage the road surface, as can be seen in the lane Lujanes ".

Regarding the land on which the industry is located, Morales explained that this is a plot of land of garden (SH) which are poured and accumulated debris and waste that could contain contaminants, and stored outdoor materials works and construction, with a continuous input and output of trucks.

Therefore, now Murcia has asked the department head of traffic that this situation be considered, if applicable placement limitation tonnage and type of vehicles, and to report to the formation of the result of the studies and inspections.

For its part, the Town Planning, Environment and Huerta has requested that the legality of the land used for storage of materials and debris, carrying out the actions necessary for compliance with the regulations in force are analyzed.
