Four students from the Polytechnic School of the UCAM have today with the opportunity to enhance their careers through the development of business technology projects thanks to grants Talentum Startups Telefonica.
This action, coordinated by the ITM Technology Institute, is part of the activities of the Chair Universitaria'Innovación and entrepreneurship in the digital age ', launched last year by the University Católicay Telefónica.
Over a period of three months full-time, scholarship students will work in the business incubator ITM where, through a training program supervised by a dedicated mentor, develop and boost its technological idea.
Thus, losestudiantes have the opportunity to enhance their creativity in an entrepreneurial environment, also receiving financial support and training in business, technological and social skills.
A project of 'intelligent' clothing designed to help control and autonomy of dependent elderly;
for the coordinated development of urban traffic management and emergency services, optimizing circulation in case of emergency;
the implementation of chiral media for telephone antennas using 3D printing;
and home automation system for improving the quality of life in homes, focused dependents, are the projects that will work in the coming months scholarship students.
The inauguration of this new edition of Talentum Startups program has assisted commercial director for large customers Valencia, Balearic Islands and Murcia in Telefónica, José Manuel del Arco;
the project manager of Talentum Startups, Jaime Angulo;
the director of the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Catholic institution, José Carmona;
and the executive director of ITM, Sofia Fernandez.
During interventions, the Arc has sought to highlight the various initiatives promoted jointly between the UCAM and Telefónica "bet for innovation and talent identification", delving into the importance posed to both institutions work together for the training of young university.
Meanwhile, Angulo has placed particular emphasis in this program is an "opportunity to significantly accelerate job creation in the university community, fostering the creation of an environment for companies innovative base may arise and develop in the right conditions" .
Finally, Carmona added that "these actions contribute to the promotion of entrepreneurship as an employment alternative and promoting initiatives based on the latest technology trends"
