The Governing Board has given the green light to the call of the test for obtaining municipal taxi driver permit that seeks to guarantee the quality of service provided in this sector.
Thus, and as required by the Ordinance regulating taxi service in the city of Murcia, is set as a condition and prerequisite for obtaining municipal permit driver as owner or employee, overcoming evidence proving have the knowledge basic to make the taxi service.
The test will consist of a multiple-choice test of 40 minutes duration, consisting of 20 questions, with three options to point out, being one valid, being necessary to pass the test to have a minimum of 12 right questions.
Knowledge about which concerns the test are divided into four sections:
1. Knowledge of the regional Law and the Ordinance regulating taxi service in the city of Murcia.
2. Knowledge concerning the street of the municipality, which includes both the town and the districts, as well as itineraries and routes of movement.
3. Attractions, administrative, services, tourism and leisure.
4. Attention to passengers.
Specifically formulated 8 of the first section 6 of the second, 3 third and 3 fourth.
The deadline for submitting the request shall be 10 days from the day following the publication of the notice in the BORM, it must be submitted in the General Register of the City of Murcia, previously paying the examination fee amounting to 6 euros, which guard payment will be attached to the instance.

This initiative is done because it has been requested by the taxi drivers themselves and approved at the Taxi Sector Board.
Murcia currently has 289 taxi license holders and 60 employees.
