A new pilot system more shaded area to enjoy the playground in the Plaza de Castilla (23/03/2016)

The works include the installation of a padded floor and a fenced security in an area of ​​over 100 square meters.

Councilman Jose Guillen emphasizes that "we want the gardens are living spaces, meeting and enjoyment of families and neighbors of all ages".

The playground of the Plaza de Castilla is one of the next targets of the plan to improve parks and gardens undertaken by the City.

The Governing Board has awarded today the project promoted by the Department of Administration Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation, directed Jose Guillen, consisting of the placement of a modern pergola for covering this area and the relocation and renovation gerontogimnasia children and games.

The intention is to improve the conditions currently present these facilities located in the green area that dominates the entrance to the city by Ronda Norte, where more than 31,000 euros will be invested.

To this end, the intervention will not be limited only to the settlement of these games, it is planned to incorporate a pergola can enjoy them for more days and longer hours, as throughout much of the year the high temperatures of the city They constitute an important limitation for use in sunny areas.

Thus, the draft prepared by the Parks and Gardens Service contemplates the placement of the games;

the execution of two separate concrete floor slabs, one for children's games and other devices for gerontogimnasia;

installing recycled rubber in red and green colors;

the construction of a fence to close the area in order to ensure greater safety for children;

placing the pergola for covering this area and relocation of existing games remodeled.

The planned implementation period is three months, so that children can release the new renovated space next summer.

Also they will have the biggest apparatus for performing exercises waist, elliptical, bike, walker and abs.

The improvement plan of green areas aims to enhance the use and enjoyment of the gardens by children and adults.

"We want to be living spaces, meeting and enjoyment of all citizens and of all ages, and for this we are ready to develop this plan set up, in collaboration with the municipal boards," noted Guillen.
