The City Council continues to support groups that promote and encourage popular culture of the municipality (18/03/2016)

The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has given the green light to grant concessions paths to different cultural groups and festeros the municipality of Murcia.

The purpose of these grants offered by the Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture is to promote the activity carried out by the various groups and associations festeras the municipality of Murcia to promote and encourage the Murcian popular culture.

The groups that will receive these grants are Superior Council of Guilds, Federation of Clubs Association Huertanas and Sardinera.

With this aid, which together total more than 340,000 euros, it seeks to promote and maintain murcianas cultural and festive traditions that also serve as tourist attraction in the municipality.
