Murcia again to turn off their buildings to join Earth Hour (18/03/2016)

Murcia returns, one more year to join the Earth Hour.

On Saturday March 19, from 20.30 to 21.30, eleven buildings and monuments of town turn off their lights and following the initiative of WWF.

Specifically 'will be left in the dark' Cathedral, the Episcopal Palace, the Moneo building, the Castle of Monteagudo, El Carmen Church, the Church of Santo Domingo, the Church of San Juan de Dios, the Convent of the Claras, the Old bridge, the sculpture and the Pasarela Manterola Sardina

For nine years, hundreds of millions of people around the world, businesses, governments and schools unite their voices in defense of the environment Earth Hour being the largest campaign ever organized mobilization and participation.

Murcia is thus one of the more than 7,000 cities in 150 countries (over 200 Spanish) to turn off the lights of its main monuments and landmarks, thus supporting the message WWF "symbolic gestures can generate big changes if we get a global commitment throughout the year".

Are increasingly municipalities in addition to initiatives in defense of the environment and adopting energy efficiency measures or reducing emissions in their government programs.
