"The number of athletes who died from sudden death has declined in recent years" (11/03/2016)

The UCAM has held the second day of the 'Third International Congress on Sports Injury Prevention: Symposium on prevention and rehabilitation in football and XXIV National Conference of Sports Traumatology: Prevention of muscle injuries' on the day of highest number of round tables, conferences and workshops.

Fabio Pigozzi, President of the International Federation of Sports Medicine and Doctor Honoris Causa by the UCAM, discussed in the first lecture on one of the issues that most concern to researchers, professionals and athletes: sudden death.

"Performing physical tests for athletes is necessary not only to look for a decline in mortality but also to make an early diagnosis of many diseases," he assured.

Injury prevention and rehabilitation of players after injuries have focused much of the presentations during the day.
