José Ballesta: "Terrorism will never achieve its objectives" (11/03/2016)

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, today participated in the official events to mark the European Day for the Victims of Terrorism, a memorial in which the mayor intervened to demonstrate that "terrorism will never achieve their goals.

José Ballesta presided over the ceremony organized by the city of Murcia held in the Plaza de la Paz, which paid tribute to victims of terrorism in Murcia and also attended by the Minister of Presidency, Maria Dolores Pagán.

During the tribute, he held a wreath at the Monument to the Victims of Terrorism, by the representatives of associations of victims of terrorism.

A group of students from schools Divine Master and Our Lady of Peace held a release of doves as a symbol of peace.

Previously, the mayor attended the ceremony marking the European Day for the Victims of Terrorism organized by the Autonomous Community, chaired by the president of the regional government, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.

During the ceremony, José Ballesta participated in the delivery of the 37 medals that were awarded to people who have been victims of terrorism and are natives of the region or residents in it.
