Four volunteers from different countries participate in the "Murcia, European city" project of the City of Murcia (10/03/2016)

Young people from Portugal, Italy, Belgium and Liechtenstein participate in the program host "Murcia, European city" European Voluntary Service, an initiative of Erasmus Plus Community program.

In addition, volunteers work with the Youth Information Points Informajoven center, and also clubs Languages ​​Barrio de los Rosales and the Barrio of the Holy Spirit in Espinardo, where leisure activities are developed as a means of learning languages

Landmarks of Murcia, including the Cathedral, the Episcopal Palace, Moneo building and Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, were the landmarks that have known 4 volunteers from different countries working in the host project 'Murcia, European City' , belonging to the Department of Youth and Development Cooperation, who heads Rebeca Perez.

Young people from Portugal, Italy, Belgium and Liechtenstein, collaborate with the Youth Service and carry out activities related to promoting European citizenship (Week of Europe Language Club, ...) and youth participation activities, and to be integrated into a multidisciplinary team for the design, implementation, management and evaluation of European youth programs.

Murcia City Council's priority, stressed Rebeca Perez, "encouraging the participation of young visually impaired and people with fewer opportunities, who have not completed their compulsory education or are unemployed."

In addition, Perez explained that "the objectives we pursue this project host European volunteers are on the one hand, provide autonomy to young volunteers and give them the opportunity to develop their skills and competencies."
