Town Hall and Community advance in the development of strategic projects for the municipality of Murcia (03/03/2016)

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Francisco Bernabé, held today a meeting with their respective teams which was a group Interadministrative Working with representatives of both organizations, aimed at coordinating the work necessary to promote strategic projects for the municipality of Murcia.

"We will address all the issues on the table in infrastructure and transport.

There are many projects we have on the agenda and we want to move to the Ministry, to discuss, analyze and take decisions that allow us to reach solutions immediately through coordination between the two Administrations, José Ballesta said ".

The next arrival of the underground to Murcia AVE, bus lines and roads municipal, regional ownership and the state, upcoming projects such as new access to the A-30 at the roundabout at the north of the city and highway Reguerón they were some of the topics that were analyzed by the Working Group led by Ballesta and Barnabas, and composed of the four departments involved (Development, Modernization, Planning and Security) and the general directions of Transport, Housing and Planning.

Improving public transport in Murcia pedanías

During the meeting, José Ballesta and Francisco Barnabas also advanced projects on public transport such as the need to establish a line connecting the districts located in the South Coast, from Torreagüera to Sangonera-La Seca.

"The recovery of this line is a social demand and its implementation is a commitment of both Administrations with neighbors, so that the City Council ask promote this project, already studying from the Ministry, and which will improve mobility between the districts of the South Coast ", stated the mayor.

Also, the mayor called for increased current frequency line 30 bus Murcia Zeneta, which serves residents of Los Ramos, Torreagüera, Beniaján and pains, and connecting these districts with the city of Murcia and the hospital Reina Sofia with a service covering every hour from 7 am to 22.00 pm.

Also, José Ballesta put on the table the need for development of the municipality of Murcia through other road infrastructure as the third-phase project of Coastal, which is in the planning stage.

During the meeting, the City Council requested that this third phase is also driven through an agreement with the Autonomous Community, since it is a performance with high social returns.
