The registration period opens for the art competition CreaMurcia XXIV (01/03/2016)

The competition includes the following disciplines: Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Visual shorts and documentaries, and Music Arts, Comic, Photography, Food Literature (in the categories of Pop-Rock, Other Trends and Songwriters).

This contest, organized by the Department of Youth and Development Cooperation, who heads Rebeca Perez, aims to promote, encourage and channel the creativity of artists from Murcia and for that develop in the same performances as prizes to the best works presented, editing in the different media of the winning works as well as exhibitions, concerts, audiovisual presentations or performances.

After twenty-four year existence, this event has become a priority framework of cultural expression emerging artists, both in terms of production and exchange of ideas, being by extension a privileged showcase new creations strategy art trends, reinforcing the idea that increased capacity of communication and artistic expression is achieved.

Rebeca Perez stressed that "CreaMurcia is a bet by emerging artists as it is a showcase of artistic expression that drives their artistic careers."

In order to meet the multidisciplinary diversity and experimentation of current artistic practice, the convening of CreaMurcia 2016 includes the following disciplines: Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Visual Arts, Comics, shorts and documentaries, Photography, Food and Wine, Literature and Music (in the categories of Pop-Rock, Other Trends and Songwriters).

In addition, as part of the event, the city of Murcia, with the aim of promoting the most outstanding artists of this call, promote their participation in meetings, exchanges, events and artistic and cultural events both nationally and internationally.

There are eleven artistic disciplines in which all young people can participate in ages between 1 January 1981 and 31 December 2000, born or residing in the municipality of Murcia.

The registration period begins on March 1 and closes, depending on the discipline on the following dates;

Music / Pop-Rock: April 1, Photography: April 21 Gastronomy: April 13, Music / Songwriters: April 28, Music / Other Trends: May 3, Fine Arts: May 4, Comic: 9 May, Visual Arts: Short documentaries on May 18, and: May 13, May 23 Literature and Performing Arts: 30 May.

first, second and third prize, first prize and consolation prizes or, depending on the modalities are granted.

The jury of each of the disciplines, chaired by Councilwoman Rebecca Perez, will be composed of experts of recognized professional, intellectual, cultural or artistic prestige.

In their valuations take into account creativity, artistic quality and conceptual innovation.

The winners of this edition coinciding with the Spanish Presidency of Murcia the National Committee of the Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean will participate in an exchange circuit artistic experiences throughout the national territory.
