Wednesday March 2 University Orchestra, under the direction of Jorge Losana, will hold two concerts in the city of Murcia.
The morning will be a didactic concert aimed at high school students, institutes IES Floridablanca, Infante D. Juan Manuel and El Carmen, to spread the taste and knowledge of classical music among young people.
That afternoon an open offer to the public (free entrance until full capacity) at 20 hours in the Almudí Palace, thanks to the collaboration with the Department of Culture and the Conservatory of Music of Murcia concert.
In this concert the University Orchestra, accompanied by musicians Pablo and Javier Albarracin, perform the 8th Symphony of Beethoven and WA Mozart Sinfonia Concertante.
On Thursday March 3 the "Cycle Orchestras & University Choirs - Music for All" will begin with the representation of this same concert at the Auditorium "The Batel" Cartagena at 20 am, for a price of between 3 and 6 euros .
This recital has been organized by the Department of Culture, Education and Equality of the City of Cartagena in collaboration with the UMU, UPCT, the ISEN and the Federation of Neighborhood Associations and Cartagena region.
During the days before the event, the City of Cartagena and the University of Murcia have organized a series of activities around classical music in collaboration with the Municipal Institute of Social Services, concerts of chamber music, workshops introduction to music guided classical and listen aimed at people over 65, neighborhood associations and disabled groups Cartagena and the region.
The concert of the Orchestra of the UMU was also interpreted this past Saturday in child didactic format, entitled "Discovering Mozart and Beethoven" at the Cultural Center of Puerto Lumbreras, through collaboration with the Department of Tourism and Culture Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.
