Civil Guard officers as part of operation "PIPE" have broken up a gang of four people for committing numerous robberies in the interior of housing in Murcia and surrounding towns.

In the development of this operation have recovered from effects of theft, obtaining further clarify more than a dozen crimes.

The first investigations carried out enabled the Guardia Civil known as behind these thefts was a gang of four people who acted in Murcia and surrounding towns.

Modus operandi

The members of this band chose their victims enter elderly.

Posing as employees of household supplies such as electricity, gas, water, etc. ... To capture the trust of the residents of housing and access to the interior on the occasion of inspections and reviews.

As an "employee" distracted the victim the other searched the house quickly subtracting valuables.

Due to the rapid action of the band, the victims did not detect the commission of the robbery until the suspects had left the house.

The result of all incumbents and after obtaining all necessary evidence, in recent days the Civil Guard has proceeded to the dismantling of this gang with the arrest of its four members, identified as VMG, MPL, IMA, and Mafla, as alleged authors of several robberies in housing interior.

These actions have also been recovered from the effects stolen by this band.

After an exhaustive analysis of information obtained in the investigation process has been able to confirm the involvement of this band in twelve home burglaries committed in Murcia.
