The government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, today announced that the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs (MARM) has tendered through the Directorate General of Water, the procurement of services for inspection, control, coordination health and safety and environmental monitoring of works in the environmental restoration project of the Segura River in the city of Murcia.
This technical assistance, whose budget amounts to 250,102 euros, will undertake the following activities:
• Technical assistance to the project management.
• Control and monitoring of works.
• Coordination of safety and health during the execution of the work.
• Environmental monitoring.
The draft environmental recovery of the river Segura, in the city of Murcia, has as main objectives to increase the hydraulic capacity of the channel, improving existing wildlife habitat, eliminate the negative visual impact of the outcrop of sediments in the urban section of the river and improve current conditions for existing recreational activities in the area.
