More than 1,800 people attend, so far this year, the municipal Counselling Service to seek employment (25/06/2010)

More than 1,800 people have participated so far this year, orientation programs for employment and self-employment assistance from the Department of Employment, headed Beatriz Hontoria, with the aim of finding a job.

This is a project that is being developed in the town since 1998, which allows users to bring the training and employment resources, teaching techniques to facilitate job search and training to succeed in a job interview.

During 2010, 1,815 people have attended, celebrated 6110 work sessions and using 7,659 hours.

Since 1998, has served an average of 1,300 people each year.

In recent years has risen considerably the number of people who come to this municipal service.

Thus, in 2007-2008, 1,461 people were served, and in 2008-2009 to 2,089 people.

Guidance Service of the City of Murcia is for unemployed people in the town of Murcia which often go voluntarily or referred by public employment offices.

This service is in the Local Development Agency (Juan Carlos I) and is staffed by 6 counselors.

The aim is to bring the person seeking employment, or decide to start their own business, resources, training and employment, as if out of the circuits will approach the information is very difficult job search.

Counselors refer to many users at job boards, employment workshops, school workshops, vocational training courses or programs Initial Vocational Training.

In addition, it maintains a smooth correspondence with job seekers through email.

Among the actions developed in the Department of Employment counseling is:

-Access to the service.

A class action lasting eight sessions of three hours each, to facilitate training and practice the skills necessary to successfully tackle a job interview.

Personal-Development Issues for the Occupation.

To develop personal skills.

-Information and motivation for self-employment.

Group sessions of 3 hours when trying to motivate the unemployed registered in the SEF for entrepreneurship.

-Advice business projects.

Providing information to people who want to start a business or have a specific project.
