[We can: "The SMS has committed irregularities in the vaccination campaign and for this it has had the complicity of the City Council" (26/01/2021)

The municipal group Podemos considers that many questions remain regarding the City Council's participation in the vaccination campaign in the Region of Murcia and qualify as an "accomplice" the attitude of the municipal services when they say that "they have only vaccinated those people who the Ministry indicated ".

In this regard, the spokesperson for the group, Ginés Ruiz Maciá, considers that the council should purify responsibilities and that their actions are not adequate and, therefore, "they must be held accountable." "The vaccination campaign in the Region of Murcia is being, clearly, irregular and it is impossible to detach the responsibility that the City of Murcia is having in this malpractice." From the municipal group Podemos, its spokesperson, Ginés Ruiz Maciá, has described as worrying the arguments with which the Department of Health is trying to justify the "numerous doubts that the vaccination campaign carried out by municipal services is generating in us ".

For the councilor, "the protocol is not being complied with.

Neither from the Ministry, nor from the City Council, which throws balls out ensuring that they only vaccinate those people who are indicated by the Autonomous Community." Ruiz Maciá wonders if the decision to vaccinate the Health Councilor, Felipe Coello, "came from the Ministry or simply stopped following orders there." In addition, another question that arises to the municipal group Podemos in the Murcia City Council is "how the council can look the other way when it is more than evident that the protocol is not being complied with.

They are told that workers who are not in front line of the pandemic and they neither question nor refuse.

They just close their eyes and follow orders.

" For Podemos, this crisis is totally open and the excuses and explanations put forward in the Board of Spokespersons neither close nor mitigate it.

"The SMS has committed irregularities and is counting on the complicity of the City Council.

It seems very serious to us and it is an issue that should have consequences.

We maintain the request for Coello's resignation, because he was vaccinated when he was not playing and we maintain the demand to Ballesta that appear to give the pertinent explanations ".

In this sense, Ginés Ruiz Maciá has questioned the attitude of the mayor, "who remains quite absent since all this was uncovered." The spokesperson for Podemos in the Murcia City Council finds it very striking that José Ballesta has taken photos of himself at "each and every one of the vaccination points of the municipal services, boasting of management at that time and now that doubts and irregularities, hide behind the arguments that others give on his behalf and that discharge all responsibility on the Autonomous Community ".
