[The PSOE demands to know the vaccinated ´vip´ of the City Council and what is the selection criteria (26/01/2021)

The socialist spokesman, José Antonio Serrano, assures that "the procedure has gotten out of hand and, as has happened in the Ministry of Health, high municipal officials, who have nothing to do with the vaccination team, have received the vaccine" The Municipal Socialist Group insists on knowing those vaccinated by the Murcia City Council, skipping the protocol.

"If there are twelve people who are part of the vaccination team, including councilor Felipe Coello, why have 31 been vaccinated and who are they", says the socialist spokesman, José Antonio Serrano, who also points out that "if there is an established protocol and approved by the Ministry of Health, it is incomprehensible and unjustified for the City Council to pull out a different one ". For this reason, he insists on knowing who are "these vaccinated VIPs" and who has made the decision to skip the protocol, but "we also want to know what is the criteria for selecting people who have already received the first dose, leaving for later others that are serving citizens and are at greater risk of contagion. The Socialist spokesman has participated this morning in the Board of Spokespersons, where "everything has been balls out and pointing to the Ministry of Health as solely responsible for the alleged irregularities in the vaccination process.

There are still many doubts and meetings like those of today they do not resolve them.

We reiterate that Councilor Coello must resign.

" All the doubts and suspicions, says Serrano, "leads us to think about a vaccination process that in the Murcia City Council is being a botch.

Everyone is getting vaccinated here, even contracted by the City Council, anticipating services such as Help At Home The residents of Murcia should know that, according to the Ministry's protocol, the first to be vaccinated should be the largest in residences and their toilets and there are still many without receiving their dose ". In this regard, he assures that "the procedure has gotten out of hand and, as has happened in the Ministry of Health, senior municipal officials, who have nothing to do with the vaccination team, have received the vaccine." He adds that "we have seen Mayor Ballesta shamelessly announce on his networks how non-priority groups were vaccinated.

He has photographed everything, that's why we know it.

However, one of the details that scares us the most is that the only doctor on the team of vaccination be Coello and with so many photos that they sell us, with so much smoke, has this not been announced? ".

For this reason, the mayor "must tell us when this appointment was made and if it is compatible with Coello's current powers as head of the Department of Health and Sports." Serrano believes that the situation, "no matter how you look at it, is unsustainable and Councilor Coello must resign," because, "despite talking so much about the Hippocratic oath, the truth is that he is lacking ethics and above all respect for many health workers who are treating people who are infected for a year, who are facing the disease on the front line, while Coello vaccinates voluntarily, apparently without anyone having asked him and without the service requiring it, people that in theory they are healthy.

" But what's more, he appeals to Ballesta, of whom he remembers that "he is the mayor of this municipality and yesterday more than 500 infections were registered, where is he? What does he have to say? Does he think everything is correct? He assumes the responsibility of authorizing Coello as vaccinator "because, according to the socialist spokesman" the health professional who can vaccinate must have up-to-date training to deal with any setback of a patient to whom the dose is administered.
