[We can register an urgent motion requesting the dismissal of Coello (25/01/2021)

The purple formation has registered an urgent motion in which it requests the dismissal of the Health Councilor for having received the vaccine against COVID-19, bypassing the protocol established by the Ministry.

The spokesman for the municipal group, Ginés Ruiz Maciá, regretted that the mayor “has cast himself into his position and has forced us to make drastic decisions.

If you do not attend the opposition, you will have to attend the plenary session. At the state level, at the regional level and at the local level.

Podemos will fight with all its available legal weapons to monitor and purify all responsibilities before those who have skipped the protocol of vaccination against COVID-19, from the party and from the institutions.

For this reason, the municipal group in the City of Murcia has registered this Monday an urgent motion requesting the dismissal of Felipe Coello by Mayor José Ballesta.

“The fact that Felipe Coello has been vaccinated without respecting the order established by the Ministry of Health and the Interterritorial Council, leads us to consider that whoever is currently in the exercise of the functions of Health Councilor is not entitled to continue managing their competencies.

We consider it unjustifiable that the mayor has received the vaccine by skipping the protocol.Let him take the example of other leaders who sooner or later have had to surrender to the evidence that in the face of this irregularity, only resignation is possible. The spokesman for the municipal group, Ginés Ruiz Maciá, stressed that the fact is even more serious “knowing that there are essential workers who are fighting the pandemic, such as Home Help workers, who are patiently waiting their turn, despite being exposed day by day and, therefore, exposing users ”. In addition to Coello's dismissal, Podemos will also demand to know if there are more members of the municipal corporation who have received the vaccine.

“Citizens deserve to have this information and to know if their leaders comply or not.

In the event that there is another councilor, or the mayor himself, who has received the vaccine, of course, we will ask for his resignation or immediate termination ”. In addition, "we want to know how this City Council is managing the administration of vaccines, to which people it is being administered and if they are within the 4 groups included in the first phase of vaccination provided by the aforementioned protocol. For this reason, the Municipal Group will request the launch of an extraordinary commission in which all the information is provided, with the presence of all municipal groups, in order to be able to make as many queries and requests for information and / or documentation.

consider necessary. From Podemos they consider that "the conduct of public officials should be an example for all citizens", therefore, in this matter, from the purple formation they have already warned that they will do everything possible to know the truth and clarify responsibilities.
