[The carnivals of the municipality will organize activities parallel to the parades (19/01/2021)

The Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jess Pacheco, and the Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, accompanied by representatives of the municipal services of Health and Celebrations and the Ministry of Health, have held this morning a meeting with various groups to study the possible scenarios of the next festive events according to the current situation of the pandemic. Thus, it has been decided not to celebrate the Cabezo de Torres, Beniajn, Llano de Brujas and Puente Bacinos carnivals scheduled for next February. The different commissions will now study the possibility of organizing parallel activities that can be held online or that do not involve an agglomeration of people. On the other hand, Pacheco and Coello have held a meeting with the presidents of the Federation of Moors and Christians, the Sardinera Association, the Superior Council of Cofradas and the Federation of Peà ± as Huertanas. At the meeting, it was agreed that these festive groups study the situation with their members, settling for a new meeting for next week. Councilor Jess Pacheco explained that "currently our priority is the health of Murcia and minimizing infections.

Our festive groups are setting an example of height and responsibility by adapting to the recommendations of the health authorities." function { ;(, , {});}
