[The PSOE of Puente Tocinos demands more personnel in the Health Center to expedite health care and avoid the risk of contagion of Covid-19 in the district (12/01/2021)

| They denounce delays of seven days in appointments to patients and uncontrolled access queues in which people with different pathologies and needs coincide | The Socialist Group of Puente Tocinos has denounced the shortage of human resources in the Health Center of the district and the risks that this entails for patients, both due to the delay in appointments and the lack of access control .

The lack of staff is causing many patients to have to wait up to a week to be seen, so many of them go to the emergency room doors of hospitals.

This causes the massification of them at a time when dozens of people come daily with symptoms of Covid-19.

On the other hand, there is no planning in the access to the health center, so two long queues have been forming and no one establishes any differentiation between those patients who require medical attention for various pathologies, with respect to neighbors summoned to perform an antigen test.

This situation is causing unnecessary contagion risks in a district that has many positives.

The PSOE of Puente Tocinos requires the Murcian Health Service to hire sufficient health personnel to prevent neglect and the consequent deterioration of the health of the citizens from continuing to occur.

It has also required personnel to plan and control access to avoid contagion risks.

It also requests the regional government to immediately offer nurses who want to voluntarily work a paid afternoon shift to administer the Covid-19 vaccines at the Health Center.
