[The Education Association promotes the schooling of 17 minors from vulnerable families with its school of education (12/01/2021)

| The project is developed in Espinardo with children between 0 and 3 years old who receive daily care for 8 hours thanks to a professional team of 4 workers | The Murcia City Council, through the Department of Social and Family Rights, led by the mayor Pilar Torres, collaborates with the social project carried out by the Educa entity in the Espinardo district.

It is a nursery school that currently serves 17 minors from vulnerable families. Participants are between 0 and 3 years old.

Specifically, 9 children who are at most months or one year old attend the center and another 8 with two or three years.

The health requirements derived from the coronavirus pandemic have reduced the students with whom this project works, which has come to house 43 minors in its classrooms. The Murcian Consistory participates in the financing of this line of social intervention with a grant of 59,000 euros that grants Social Rights.

Most of the families that bring minors to this school have limited economic resources, so the project also articulates help methods to help these families have their basic needs covered. Active service between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm The minors receive daily care for 8 hours between 8:30 and 16:30.

Most of the participants are from the Espinardo Holy Spirit neighborhood and neighboring districts.

The main objective of the school is to promote the schooling of minors and favor both their social inclusion and their active participation in the educational system. Councilor Pilar Torres has visited Educa's school this morning, which is located on Enrique Tierno Galván de Espinardo Street.

He pointed out that "the care of vulnerable minors is a real priority for the Government Team, which works collaboratively and in coordination with social entities to broaden its range of action.

An example of this way of proceeding is the joint work carried out develops with Educa, which provides support and care to needy minors and their families ". Educa seeks to promote the harmonious development of children from socially disadvantaged contexts in a neighborhood with important social needs and with a considerable number of families with serious problems of social exclusion, thus guaranteeing the coverage of basic needs to a group of minors. Support tool for the Covid crisis This work is especially necessary today at a time when the social crisis derived from the health care caused by Covid-19 has further aggravated the situation of vulnerable families and their minors. The professional team that develops Educa's infant school project consists of two educators, a cook and a cleaner.

Workers carry out different dynamics with minors to promote their development and growth in all their areas from an early age. Educa is a non-profit organization that carries out educational activities aimed at minors from Espinardo aged between 0 and 4 years with the firm purpose of creating an educational space in a very socially disadvantaged neighborhood and giving priority to families who most of them are in a situation of exclusion.

It is the only resource of its kind in the area.
