[The City Council activates a special disinfection device in educational centers on the occasion of returning to school after the Christmas holidays (09/01/2021)

| In this way, it seeks to guarantee the safety of face-to-face education to more than 28,000 students | The Murcia City Council, through the Department of Education and Nursery Schools and Sustainable Mobility and Youth, has activated a special disinfection device in educational centers and their surroundings on the occasion of going back to school after the Christmas holidays. In this way, it seeks to guarantee the safety of face-to-face education for the more than 28,000 students, who will return to the classrooms next Monday, with the reinforcement of the cleaning and disinfection service in the surroundings of the 116 public schools of Infant and Primary Education from the municipality of Murcia. This special disinfection and cleaning plan against coronavirus acts in a special way inside, at the entrances and in the surroundings of all educational centers in the municipality of Murcia. In these spaces, in which we have been working this last week, we are working with hydrolyzing equipment with a capacity of up to 400 liters of water and the use of diluted sodium hypochlorite applied by pole to optimize the result. The Murcia City Council's Cleaning and Disinfection Plan against COVID-19 includes a battery of daily and extraordinary sanitation actions with weekly, biweekly and monthly intervals to guarantee optimal cleaning and disinfection of both school buildings and the surroundings of the centers. Intensive cleaning on the occasion of the beginning of the educational activity The Department of Education and Infant Schools, led by Belén López, has intensified this week the cleaning and disinfection work against Covid-19 of the 116 public schools in the municipality with a view to the beginning of the educational activity, next Monday, 11 of January. Specifically, the actions focus on the ventilation of spaces, an in-depth cleaning of all surfaces that have direct contact with people, with soap and water or detergents.

These include the work on school supplies, bathrooms, sink basins, handles, doors, time control checkpoints, switches, elevator buttons, handrails, work tables, keyboard, computer mouse and telephones. To these tasks, it should be noted that the centers have had two additional daily hours during school hours  for cleaning since September  to cover the hygienic needs against the coronavirus.  function { ;(, , {});}
