| The blood donation marathon, held yesterday in the Assembly Hall of the City Council, exceeded all expectations, reaching 281 donations, which will benefit more than 800 patients. Under the slogan, 'This year, the Three Wise Men need you and are counting on you', the campaign, promoted by the City Council and the Regional Hemodonation Center, was carried out during a morning session, from 9.30 a.m.
to 2 p.m.
, and another in the afternoon, from 4:30 p.m.
to 9:00 p.m.
In social networks, the initiative was spread with the hashtags #DonaSangre and #RegalaVida. The influx of people did not stop throughout the day, reaching 349 donors received, of which 115 were new and another 68 belong to people who could not donate for different reasons. "The generosity of Murcia and the people of Murcia was evident once with the day held yesterday, which was attended not only by regular donors but more than a hundred new ones," said the Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, who encourages all citizens to continue collaborating at any time "with the aim of continuing to promote blood donations among all, and thus maintain the reserves and supply of all blood components to our hospitals." For this, those interested can consult the movement of mobile units, as well as the schedules on the web www.murciasalud.es/crh and on social networks, where donation needs are reported every day.
