[The UMU and the Department of Tourism, Youth and Sports sign an agreement to collaborate in actions related to youth (28/12/2020)

The University of Murcia and the Ministry of Tourism, Youth, and Sports have signed this Monday, December 28, a general protocol of action to promote the joint implementation of training activities, participation n, employability, advice, research, or of any other type in youth matters that interests both parties.

The rector, Jos Luj n, and the counselor, Cristina S nchez L pez, have been in charge of signing the general protocol in a ceremony that took place in the Convalescence, headquarters of the Rectorate. Among the main objectives of the agreement is the implementation of actions that help to create the Regional Youth Observatory.

The University of Murcia will collaborate through the promotion of studies and the establishment of mechanisms that allow obtaining continuous, reliable and updated information and knowledge on the reality of youth and the measures that the public administration are designed for this group, in order to know and attend to their needs and concerns. In addition, it is also planned to carry out training actions related to the field of youth, as well as collaboration in youth exchange programs and European internship programs, among others.

In the same way, the protocol enables the possibility of collaboration between the University and the Ministry in activities aimed at promoting employment and entrepreneurship. Collaborating mutually in the dissemination of information of interest to youth, or promoting the program of youth agents for health, are other objectives of the signed protocol.
