The disinfection work will be carried out, during the day, in the busiest places and most commercial locations, pedestrian areas of gardens, as well as in containers and bins.
In the afternoon, it will continue in the surroundings of health centers, centers for the elderly, containers, pharmacies, supermarkets and food markets. At night, in the historic center of the city, the teams adapt to this area, carrying out work on foot in those points where the sweeping machines or pressurized water cannot access. These studies have already demonstrated their effectiveness since the analyzes carried out on the 50 samples collected in the different containers and bins of the municipality of Murcia, between November 11 and 23, determined, after the exhaustive analyzes applied, the absence of the SARS-COV virus -2, responsible for COVID-19, in all these locations. During those days, a special device was established for the analysis and detection of traces of COVID-19, carrying out PCR tests in 50 points of the municipality, bins, containers and underground, to know the presence or absence of SARS-COV-2, and determine the hygiene levels in these locations, by analyzing these control parameters. Thus, the presence of the virus in any of them was not determined, thus guaranteeing the safety of both the public when using this urban furniture and that of the service personnel, who manipulate them in their daily work. The results of these tests confirm the effectiveness of continuing to spray the biocide in underground containers and wastebaskets, especially in urban furniture areas where citizens can have direct contact.
