[The City Council and the Gypsy Secretariat Foundation train 2,850 young people to promote their labor inclusion (26/12/2020)

| The Aprender Trabajando program, subsidized by the Department of Social Rights and Family, improves the employability of those under 30 years of age of vulnerable families and involves leading companies in their sector | The Murcia City Council, through the Department of Social and Family Rights, led by the mayor Pilar Torres, and the Fundación Secretariado Gitano have trained 2,850 young people under 30 years of age to promote their inclusion in the labor market through the Aprender Trabajando program . In its last edition about twenty young people participated.

Its main objective is to improve the employability of participants and involve leading companies in their sector in their progress.

This year El Corte Inglés, Carrefour, Ikea and Momo Moda have supported this training initiative. Annual grant The Murcia City Council actively participates in Aprender Trabajando within the annual subsidy granted to the Fundación Secretariado Gitano, a social entity with which it works in a coordinated manner for the development of different social care actions. The main purpose of this line of action is to turn employment into a key tool for the effective social incorporation of the Roma population into the labor market. Another of its priorities is to promote social inclusion and contribute to overcoming the stigmas that the Roma community has to face on many occasions when it comes to finding a job for others. Individualized and motivating itineraries Learning Working provides beneficiaries with the necessary tools to improve their skills necessary to achieve a job.

For this, the trainers draw individualized itineraries with which they enhance the motivation of the participants and stimulate them to bet on training as a means to achieve a well-qualified and quality job. Councilor Pilar Torres has pointed out that "actions like this promote access to the job market for young people at risk of social exclusion, a group that is a priority to serve in order to provide them with the necessary tools to build a prosperous future.
