| This certification that guarantees safe tourism against Covid-19 has been granted to the V ctor Villegas Auditorium and Congress Center, Terra Natura theme park and the Murcia Congress Office | Turismo de Murcia today presented the new 'Safe Tourism Certified' certification that has been granted by the Institute of Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE) to three establishments in the tourism sector in the municipality of Murcia after meeting the criteria required to guarantee tourism sure. These certificates, which certify the implementation of a series of security and risk prevention measures against Covid-19 reflected in ISO 9001, have been awarded to the Víctor Villegas Auditorium and Congress Center, the municipality's main conference space; the new generation theme park and zoo Terra Natura; and the Murcia Congress Office, the entity in charge of promoting business tourism in Murcia since 1998. The mayor of Employment, Economic Promotion and Tourism, Pedro García Rex, has highlighted the importance of this seal of safe tourism in the stage that "we are living because it offers security to citizens and guarantees compliance with hygienic-sanitary measures, converting these establishments in certified safe spaces ". These new certifications join those already obtained by more than 55 Murcian companies and services that have obtained the security badge against Covid-19 granted by the Secretary of State for Tourism, within the Integral System of Spanish Tourist Quality in Destinations, which places the municipality in fifth position nationwide in terms of establishments and services that have already obtained this extraordinary distinction.
