| The exhibition, which can be visited virtually from today until January 6 , has the 39 works made by the winners of previous editions | The Councilor for the Elderly, Disability and Development Cooperation, Paqui P rez, presented today the exhibition "The elderly also paint: between beauty and hope" which this year celebrates its tenth edition n.

During the event she was accompanied by the president of the Federation of social centers for the elderly, Sim n P rraga, the coordinator of the exhibition, Remigio Tolmo, and a representative of Trazo 6, Manuel Vacas, an association that has collaborated in the organization of this virtual exhibition. The exhibition can be visited virtually from today Monday until next January 6 at the following web address https://www.mvmart.org/Entrelabellezaylaesperanza, from where users can also n access the virtual catalog that can be downloaded in PDF format. This painting exhibition features the works made by the winners of the nine previous editions belonging to more than forty Social Centers for the Elderly in the municipality of Murcia.

Through their paintings, the participants convey feelings of love, hope and longing, the 39 works reflecting the very motto of the exhibition "The older people also paint". The head of the Council, together with the president of the Federation of Social Centers for the Elderly, have congratulated the authors of the works for their excellent work; thanking them for their participation and encouraging them to continue learning and developing their creativity. "From the Council we will continue working so that our elders develop active aging, facilitating access to courses and workshops and any type of activity that allows them to acquire new knowledge and hobbies and maintain a full and active life", Mayor Paqui P rez has highlighted. He also thanked the organizers "for their effort and dedication to make this event go ahead despite the limitations and difficulties derived from the pandemic, a tough year in which the elderly have been an example of responsibility and adaptation.
