economic n for the successful bidder The first deputy mayor and councilor for Public Works, Mario Gómez, has initiated a round of contacts with representatives of federations, associations and groups from different sectors with the aim of improving the preparation of the terms of reference of the Murcia City Council, through of the start-up of a series of sectoral work tables. First meetings The first meetings held by the head of the Recruitment Service have been with representatives of the sectors of public building cleaning companies, construction contractors, and metal, led by the president of FREMM, Alfonso Hernández Zapata; and members of the Association of Professionals of Used Vehicle Sellers, among others. The Councilor for Development hopes to hold future meetings with representatives of such important associations as the Motorcycle and Moped Repair Association, the Automobile Spare Parts Merchants of the Region of Murcia and the Regional Association of Tire Repairers and Sellers. In this sense, the mayor Mario Gómez has stressed that "the purpose of these meetings is none other than to establish links and strengthen collaboration with representatives of all sectors to draw up specifications that include the best execution conditions, with the greatest quality, efficiency and economic repercussion for the awardee ". Automotive Specifically, with regard to the automotive sector, the head of the Recruitment Service explained that "we are working to draw up the necessary specifications that allow us to put out to public tender contracts for the supply of parts and repair of vehicles and motorcycles from the mobile park that cannot be repaired by municipal service workers, which will reduce minor contracts in compliance with the law and eliminate irregular hiring by the local administration.

" Action plan This new action is framed in the Action Plan for the Improvement of Public Procurement of the Murcia City Council that the first deputy mayor and person in charge of Development launched at the beginning of the mandate.

During a first phase, we have worked together with the construction sector to eliminate possible cases of collusion from public procurement procedures. In the second phase of the development of the Action Plan, which is beginning now, work will be done to design model specifications.

"We must perfect their drafting and implement them with new and innovative conditions that improve municipal works and services and allow us to streamline administrative procedures and reduce the timeframe for contracting processes," Gómez stressed. For the head of the Procurement Service, it is essential that, for the sake of greater transparency, "the actors involved in public bidding procedures and those who execute them participate in the analysis of the results obtained since the entry into force of the new public sector contract law, in order to continually improve contracting processes and place ourselves in the best starting position when projects arrive from the European Union.

" The third and final phase of the plan will have as its main objective to improve the control and supervision of municipal public contracts.
