[Murcians will be able to deliver clothes, belongings and toys in ecopoints and in the ecopark that will be donated to C ritas (20/12/2020)

| The 'Recycle, give away, recover for others and for the environment' campaign aims to promote solidarity circular economy | The Murcia City Council together with Ferrovial Services launch the campaign 'Recycle, give away, recover for others and for the environment', to highlight a solidarity Christmas 2020. Thus, until next January 5, Murcians will be able to deliver clothes, footwear, small appliances and toys in good condition to mobile ecopoints or in the ecopark located in the Polígono Oeste de San Ginés, which will be delivered to Cáritas Diocese of Cartagena. The Murcia Ecopark has 6 trucks or mobile points that visit all neighborhoods and districts of the municipality weekly, in the morning and afternoon, to facilitate the correct deposit of special household waste.

These days, these vehicles become supportive, being able to bring these items in good condition and in good conditions of use to them, to provide them with a second life, through Caritas, extending their useful life cycle and putting them in other hands for their exploitation. The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, explained that "before throwing something out without further ado, we must assess other options such as solidarity in this case.

The delivered, once classified, will be donated to Cáritas extending the useful life of the same, with a social purpose " "Our lines of work intend to sensitize and educate society about waste prevention, reuse of products and recycling of materials.

A good way to participate in the circular economy is to make use of mobile ecopoints, to deliver resources and not waste" , Pérez continued. The Ecopoints and the Ecopark are an intermediate place between citizens and the final transformation of the waste.

This means that no waste will be transformed in the eco-park.

In this place they are collected, cataloged and classified in order to favor their subsequent recycling or adequate treatment according to the material in question.

With this classification and separation, the efficiency of the waste collection and management services is facilitated and improved.

It is an installation designed to facilitate the subsequent recycling according to the case and nature of the waste of those that cannot be deposited in conventional containers, that is, batteries, paints, batteries, used oil, etc.but it can also be a collection center for many useful things for reuse and that can serve as a tool to comply with the Circular Economy for social purposes.
