[Plater a is filled this afternoon with Instant neas de Luz to vindicate local commerce (18/12/2020)

| Eight businesses participate in the initiative, exhibiting photographs of established and new artists in their windows, drawing the attention of pedestrians and thus creating an open-air 'museum' | The Mayor of Murcia, Jos Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Commerce, Markets and Public Highway, Juan Fernando Hern ndez, and the Mayor of Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jes s Pacheco, inaugurated today, at 6:00 p.m., the project 'Snapshots of Light.

Itinerary for the exhibition in the public space ', which was created to support and encourage shopping in local shops. Eight venues have participated in the initiative, exhibiting large-format photographs of established and new artists in their shop windows, attracting the attention of passers-by and creating, in this way, a kind of surprising open-air 'museum' to the pedestrian in each 'station' of the route. "Encouraging purchases in nearby shops, which are the ones that know us by name and are always at our service with a smile and a kind word, is the objective of this initiative, which we inaugurated this afternoon", has highlighted Jos Ballesta.

The meeting point to start the tour will be Plater a street. The photographers who have donated their work, collaborating with the project, are Blanca Ruedas, José Miguel Cerezo and Remys Door. A message of encouragement and hope in times of pandemic The initiative has been promoted by the Central East District Municipal Board, in collaboration with the Plater a and Traper a Merchants Association; supporting, on the one hand, the emerging culture, and, on the other, the local commerce.

The event will be attended by the president of the Merchants Association, Marisa Cano, and the president of the Board, Lorenzo Tom s Gabarr n. Specifically, the eight shops that have participated in the exhibition itinerary are located in Plater a street, in Plaza Joufre and in Adarve passage, an axis that has been chosen for being the heart of the commercial area of Murcia.

In total, 10 images are displayed. The starting point of the project is to convey a positive message of hope, such as 'we will get together again, touch each other, hug each other, smile', etc .; these messages being the axes on which the exhibition revolves, with human contact, smile and hope as protagonists. It should be noted that the initiative is inspired by the song created by Van Gogh's Ear during confinement, taking into account phrases such as the following: 'we will get together again, we will toast again, a coffee remains pending in our bar, we will break that meter of distance between you and me, there will no longer be a screen between the two ...
