| The Governing Board approves a grant of 5,000 euros to finance this modality focused on research | The Governing Board has approved the 5,000 euro grant to finance the teaching of the International Bachelor at the Alfonso X El Sabio Institute of Secondary Education in Murcia. In this way, the City Council continues to promote this modality focused on research as a habitual and essential methodology and in which students prepare for access to the University through the management of bibliographic sources, as well as like writing their agendas and exposing teamwork. The Alfonso X El Sabio IES is the only center in the municipality that offers this modality.
It joined the International Baccalaureate World Schools network more than 10 years ago, within its Diploma Program, aimed at students aged 16 to 19.
The program combines this high school with Spanish and culminates in obtaining the International Diploma, once the exams have been passed.
Likewise, the center makes its training compatible with other informational activities on heritage and cultural manifestations such as: attendance at museums and exhibitions, natural environments, as well as participation and attendance at international congresses.
