[The Cloister of the University of Murcia awards the Medal of Honor to the Poncemar Foundation for its commitment and collaboration with the university and Lorca society (15/12/2020)

At the proposal of the Committee for Academic Distinctions, the Cloister has awarded the Medal of Honor to the Poncemar Foundation for the values ??that this institution represents and for its commitment to collaboration for the development of the Science Campus Sociosanitarias de Lorca, whose faculty has been the promoter of the proposal.

Likewise, processed by the same commission and promoted by the Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Dermatology, Stomatology, Radiology and Physical Medicine, the proposal to appoint "Doctor Honoris Causa" by the University has been approved.

This planning process has been vital so that we are currently ending the first semester within a reduced and safe classroom teaching environment.The services carried out their work in telework without a verifiable loss of their effectiveness and the telematic infrastructures in the centers and in the Virtual Classroom have been improved in order to continue teaching last year and the current one.

In the social aspect, the University launched the project "# Ning nEstudianteAtr s" to help all university students who could not afford tuition payments due to the pandemic and in On the Coronavirus Information website, all the notices of the governing bodies and those of the COVID Committee of Experts that have been set up to advise the board of directors in decision-making have been published.

Digitalization of certifications and II Equality Plan The vice-rector for Strategy and Digital University has presented the government team's action plan for the current 2020/21 academic year.

Among these actions, the digitization project of academic certifications and the development of the II Equality Plan of the University of Murcia stand out.

In management matters, the execution and completion of the Extraordinary Plan for Employment Stabilization and Consolidation is planned and to promote the raising of funds through patronage, crowdfunding for the financing of projects business research groups.

In terms of Quality, it is expected that by the end of this course more than half of the UMU centers will have the AUDIT certificate.

Encourage volunteering and reduce the digital divide After the approval of the service regulations, the operating rules will be developed within the Publications Commission and, in terms of communication, it is expected to develop a master plan for the management of the social networks.

In terms of students, it aims to increase the collaboration of our institution with university networks for the promotion of comprehensive health.

It is also planned to promote university volunteering and reduce the digital divide due to economic problems in the UMU student body.

Among the actions related to employment, the project of Self-training in skills for the professional career through the generation of short-term self-training content in the Virtual Classroom stands out.In matters related to the Digital University, indicators will be established to monitor the Digital Transformation Plan and they will begin to develop in the development of IT infrastructure projects in the cloud.

Talent attraction and retention The objective in the field of Studies is the promotion of national and international double degrees in bachelor's and master's degrees and the preparation of a manual of good practices to facilitate the modification and creation of new degrees, as well as how to increase the diffusion through the web.

Likewise, the modification of the regulation of the Own Studies is foreseen.

Regarding research, the Plan for the regulation of research spaces will be carried out (PLEIADES, VITALYS, Ships, Animal farms, Specific Sars-Cov2 detection laboratory) and will proceed to the revitalization of public calls to encourage the attraction and retention of talent.

In terms of international relations, a digital platform for the management of national and international mobility will be established.

Regarding the management of the infrastructures, the necessary adaptations will be carried out according to the legal requirements and regulatory inspections of the competent bodies, especially all those aspects related to the prevention of the pandemic.

Likewise, work will continue on adapting infrastructures and services to achieve the "0 carbon footprint" and sustainable campus.

Regarding teachers, work will continue on the stabilization and promotion of teachers and on the design of new computer applications that support the selection and hiring processes of new PDI members.

The University of Murcia will continue working on the management of the transparency portal and will include training activities in Transparency, Access to Information,Integrity and Good Governance in the Corporate Training Plan.

A mixed university-society commission of experts will also be created to support the UMU's scientific transfer and communication strategy.
