[The UMU and the Fade Foundation promote the course 'Solidarity spirit' on volunteer skills (15/12/2020)

| This Wednesday an online information session is being held for people interested in this training with which they obtain a t own title of the University of Murcia | The University of Murcia and the FADE Foundation, which have collaborated for years through a volunteer agreement, take a further step in this collaboration by signing a new agreement so that the training of volunteer skills 'Solidarity spirit' developed by FADE becomes a title of the University of Murcia.

In this way, this training initiative achieves the university endorsement, and assumes that all the people who take it can obtain CRAU credits and an official certificate from the University of Murcia.

In addition, for the University, through the Diversity and Volunteering Service, it means being able to offer this training program, free of charge, to all social entities linked by a volunteer agreement to the University of Murcia and, through them, to all volunteers.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, December 16, will an online information session be held? -At two times to choose from from 10 a.m.

to 11 a.m.

or from 5 to 6 p.m.? - for those who want to find out about this training initiative in social skills.

In order to join the session, you must register and follow the instructions.

The training will be carried out online through the Moodle platform www.talantesolidario.org.

And it will start this same month of December.

It is structured around ten competencies, which provide content to the teaching units or courses, in order to facilitate their learning and training online.

Each competition involves a training course and its content combines theory and practice through various training exercises to be carried out during voluntary action.

10 competencies are worked on: analysis and problem solving, initiative and autonomy, flexibility and innovation, ability to lead initiatives, organization and planning, interpersonal communication, teamwork, responsibility and commitment, assertiveness and empathy.

Specifically, this training program has a duration of 8 weeks per competition, with a dedication of one hour a week, to which are added the hours that the volunteer develops in his entity in a regular and ordinary way, since this training is parallel to the acquisition and establishment of their skills in the development and execution of volunteering.

Training in soft skills is one of those demanded by companies and the job market, since thanks to them people and society can be transformed.

A national initiative Currently, more than 200 students from 10 entities throughout Spain are being trained in social skills through Talante Solidario: Galicia, Castilla La Mancha, Malaga, Valencia, Madrid, Bilbao, Cantabria and Murcia.

The FADE Foundation is an entity that promotes and develops different volunteer activities in the field of social care in the Region of Murcia, with special attention to groups of elderly and / or dependents, people with disabilities, mentally ill, people with chronic and degenerative diseases, as well as hospitalized minors and at risk of exclusion function { ;(, , {});}
