The shops of Santiago el Mayor display the Bethlehem of the Muelas Ruiz Family in their windows (13/12/2020)

It is a collection of 500 pieces that reproduces the most characteristic biblical scenes of the Nativity, such as the Annunciation of the Angel to Mary, the Visitation of his cousin Elizabeth, the search for the inn in Bethlehem, the Birth of Jesus, the Announcement to the Shepherds and the Adoration of the MagiThe windows of 11 commercial establishments in Santiago el Mayor show this Christmas the traditional Bethlehem of the Muelas Ruiz Family, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary.It is a collection of 500 pieces that reproduces the most characteristic biblical passages of the Nativity, such as the Annunciation of the Angel to Mary, the Visitation to his cousin Elizabeth, the search for the inn in Bethlehem, the Birth of Jesus, the Announcement to the Shepherds and the Adoration of the Magi, among others.The councilors of Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, and Sustainable Development and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, have traveled together with the members of the Municipal Board of Santiago el Mayor the different scenarios.This Nativity scene is usually exhibited in a basement in Santiago el Mayor, owned by the family, but this year, due to the situation of the pandemic, to avoid crowds it has been decided to opt for another alternative, such as the distribution of the different scenes through of the different shops in the area.With this initiative it has also been wanted to promote and support local commerce, since it invites citizens to visit the work and, at the same time, encourages the purchase in view of the Christmas season.A tour with a stop at 11 establishmentsSpecifically, eleven are the establishments that have supported this initiative of the Muelas Ruiz Family: Dioni Perfumeria Drugstore, Frany Home Clothes, Dertha Burger Quitapellejos / Restorations, Rincón de Maya / D´Mesas, Jardín de María Beauty Salon, Santiago Pharmacy el Mayor, Culturocio Association, Santi Bakery, Santa Rosa Pharmacy, Instalfrica and Victoria Ballester Hair Salon.Santiago el Mayor, territory of Murcia South ConnectionThe Murcia South Connection project will mean the return to Murcians of an urban area of ??more than 200,000 m2, where green spaces and pedestrian areas will be the main protagonists.In the design of the actions to be developed, the more than 70,000 residents who live in the districts and neighborhoods where these actions are going to take place will have a voice, such as: Los Dolores, El Infante, the Carmen neighborhood, Santiago el Mayor, el neighborhood of Progreso, San Pío X, Nonduermas, Patiño and Barriomar."Culture and tradition are themes framed in this transformation project, as they mark the idiosyncrasy of our municipality, show our origins, customs and historical roots, as well as promote integration and social cohesion among the residents of the different neighborhoods", Mercedes Bernabé has highlighted.
