The City Council will have eight new homes to house families in a housing emergency situation temporarily (08/12/2020)

| They will be managed by the Columbares Association and the Rasinet Federation thanks to the agreements that the Housing Service will sign with both entities for an amount total of 100,000 euros | The Housing Service, led by mayor Paqui Pérez, in the face of the housing emergency crisis caused by Covid-19, is going to sign two collaboration agreements with the Columbares Association and the Rasinet Federation to carry out the Residential Inclusion Program for Families in a Situation of Serious Vulnerability in the municipality of Murcia.The Governing Board has approved the granting of a first grant, worth 50,000 euros, for the Columbares Association; and a second, for an amount of 50,000 euros, for the Rasinet Foundation -which will be submitted to the approval of the Governing Board next Friday- and which will allow the launch of an innovative program to provide the municipality with eight new homes to house, urgently and temporarily, families in a situation of housing emergency, caused by evictions or other causes.In this sense, Councilor Paqui Pérez explained that "through this emergency program, both entities are going to undertake a comprehensive work with families, who, in addition to providing a conditioned and equipped home, will be monitored and support during their process of social inclusion ".To do this, various actions will be carried out, among which are the holding of workshops for the development of social skills, the reinforcement of social and family support networks, educational monitoring of minors and support and guidance for the management of family life, among other actions."From the Housing Service we are going to continue looking for all possible formulas that help us increase the number of homes for families in housing emergencies.

Housing is an essential element for people to develop a dignified life and, in this line, we will continue working, "said Paqui Pérez.
