It involves the construction of a new municipal center in Los Dolores of more than 800 m2.In addition, the surroundings of the building will be urbanized, by expanding the existing sidewalk and creating other perimeter walls.

The façade will be located on Clara Campoamor street, where the main access to the building is proposed.At the entrance there will be a large lobby compatible with functions of an exhibition hall, access control and a service area, with public toilets, a general store and a cleaning room.From this hall there will be access to four workshop classrooms (three of 30 m2 and one of 60 m2), through a distribution corridor that leads to an office for the coordinator and the auditorium, with capacity for 120-150 people .Due to the need for fire evacuation, a second emergency exit is projected in the hall of the classrooms.These works represent an important improvement for the services of the district in which the residents will be able to count on new dependencies for culture, training and leisure.Los Dolores, territory of Murcia South ConnectionThe Murcia South Connection project will mean the return to Murcia of an urban area of ??more than 200,000 m2, where green spaces and pedestrian areas will be the main protagonists.In the design of the actions to be developed, the more than 70,000 residents who live in the districts and neighborhoods where these actions are going to take place will have a voice, such as: Los Dolores, El Infante, the Carmen neighborhood, Santiago el Mayor, el neighborhood of Progreso, San Pío X, Nonduermas, Patiño and Barriomar.Currently, the participatory process of the project is taking place.

Municipal technicians are holding working meetings with more than 150 representative groups from the southern part of the municipality with the aim of gathering ideas and proposals that will later be evaluated by the competent technicians.In parallel, the placement of more than 300 ballot boxes by businesses and establishments in the southern districts and neighborhoods is allowing weekly contributions to be collected directly from citizens by filling in forms.In addition, the Artillery Barracks this week hosted an Expert Forum that had the participation of some of the most influential architects on the national and international scene, such as Ibón Areso, promoter of Ría 2000 Bilbao, Francisco Burgos, head of Madrid Río, Enrique Bardají, from Mahou-Calderón, and José María Ezquiaga, from Madrid Centro.
