[Four technicians from the Information Technology Service of the Murcia City Council join the group of technicians of the FEMP (03/12/2020)

| This morning the ordinary meeting of the Information Society Commission took place , Technological Innovation and Digital Agenda, in which the Deputy Mayor for Urban Development, Jos Guill n has participated | The Commission for the Information Society, Technological Innovation and Digital Agenda of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), which took place this morning and in which the councilor of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, Jos Guill n, has incorporated four technicians from the area of ??Modernization of the Administration, specifically the Information Technology Service, from the Murcia office Smart City and the Directorate of Modernization and Quality of the services of the Murcia City Council in the Group of Technicians of this commission. Thus, the director of Modernization and Quality of the Administration, Jos Mart nez M rquez; the head of the Computing Service, Santiago Dom nguez, the head of the Smart Murcia Office, Javier P rraga and the head of Projects and Development, David Albadalejo, will participate in the groups of experts in Electronic Administration nica, Technological Innovation, Digital Agenda and Information Society of the FEMP. Also today, within the framework of the commission of the Murcia City Council, the allegations that the FEMP has made to the preliminary draft of the General Telecommunications Law in its public consultation phase and the results have been presented of a survey on the State of Electronic Administration in Provinces and Islands 2020. In this sense, the Murcia City Council has verified the significant progress and quality of the electronic administration services it provides with its own resources, framed within the Murcia Smart City project that is being developed. Technology has been installed in a dizzying way in all areas of municipal management.

The greatest example of this is the Electronic Headquarters (sede.murcia.es), a portal from where citizens, with a digital certificate or electronic ID, can access from any device and place in the world to carry out procedures related to the different municipal services, as well as the presentation of their applications for municipal jurisdiction. The Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, Jos Guill n, explains that "the Consistory has undergone in recent years a very important transformation and modernization of its administration towards a new smart City Council model, more accessible, with the latest technological advances, which make life easier for citizens, eliminate bureaucracy, streamline procedures and, above all, be able to do all of this, 365 d Years a year, 24 hours a day telematically, remotely and without having to make any travel; all this has been developed within the Smart City strategy, through the MiMurcia project.
