The City Council allocates 30,000 to increase the number of taxis adapted to people with reduced mobility (29/11/2020)

| The objective is to implement increasingly accessible public transport services | The Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth has approved the call for subsidies for the acquisition or transformation of autotaxi vehicles adapted for people with reduced mobility, authorizing an expenditure of 30,000 euros. This call is aimed at licensees of this type of vehicle, trying to achieve the highest possible levels of effectiveness and efficiency in the allocation and use of public resources. The granting of these grants seeks to co-finance the higher costs that the acquisition or transformation of this type of vehicle entails in relation to conventional taxis. The maximum amount to be received will be 6,000 euros for the acquisition or 4,500 euros for the transformation of an adapted taxi vehicle. The deadline for submitting applications will be 10 calendar days from the day following publication in the official gazette from the National Subsidies Database. The aid will be granted respecting the strict order of the application date and until the available credit is exhausted, provided that the requirements established in these bases are met.In this way, the Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth intends to implement increasingly accessible public transport services, since in this way the autonomy of people with reduced mobility is increased and allows a more efficient and useful transport, at the same time that guarantees the universality, accessibility and quality in the provision of this service.
