These works represent an important improvement for the services of the district, whose citizens will have new dependencies for culture, training and leisure ”, Marco Antonio Fernández highlighted.For his part, the councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, has indicated that "the district of Nonduermas is located within Murcia South Connection, a project that will promote the largest urban transformation of Murcia in the last century with the that we are going to connect people, promote economic activity in neighborhoods and districts and facilitate the personal and professional development of their neighbors ”.The expansion works of the municipal center of Nonduermas will be developed on a total area of ??481.71 square meters, which houses the building of the current mayor's office, which will be remodeled for the provision of new facilities, and the annexed lot where the expansion of the work.Specifically, the existing building will have a new 24-hour study room with capacity for 30 people (54m2), a workshop classroom (53m2), a computer room (27m2), lobby (42m2), offices and meeting rooms ( 13m2), distributor (15m2), toilets and warehouse.Likewise, a 210 square meter assembly hall will be located in the newly built building, which will be connected to the previous one through the lobby.
It will have a roof with superior protection and waterproofing and thermal insulation and the exterior carpentry will be made of white lacquered sheet metal and the interior will be made of wood with a colored melanin finish.
Vinyl signage facilities will be provided and will have air conditioning.New municipal study roomThe action in Nonduermas is one of the works belonging to the Extraordinary Plan for Investments and Pedanías.
Thus, the City Council continues to work on the implementation of this type of infrastructure for the improvement of neighborhoods and districts, as well as the structuring of the municipal territory.The project for the expansion and remodeling of the Municipal Center includes the construction of a 24-hour study room, dependent on the Municipal Network of Study Rooms of Murcia (RMSM), a service managed by the Department of Urban Agenda and Open Government.In this sense, for Mercedes Bernabé, “the town hall offers Murcian fully equipped spaces for study and training, suitable for the development of academic activities.

Municipal technicians are holding working meetings with more than 150 representative groups from the southern part of the municipality with the aim of gathering ideas and proposals that will later be evaluated by the competent technicians.At the same time, the placement of more than 300 ballot boxes by businesses and establishments in the southern districts and neighborhoods is allowing the contributions that citizens send directly by filling in forms to be collected weekly.In addition, the Artillery Barracks will host next Wednesday, December 2, an Expert Forum that will have the participation of some of the most influential architects on the national and international scene, such as Ibón Areso, promoter of Ría 2000 Bilbao, Francisco Burgos , responsible for Madrid Río, Enrique Bardají, from Mahou-Calderón, and José María Ezquiaga, from Madrid Centro.
