The City Council prunes more than 20,000 mulberry trees in the municipality to guarantee the safety of the neighbors and keep these specimens in perfect condition (21/11/2020)

The first of the actions that is being carried out is the piping of the alignments of specimens on walks, after which training and maintenance pruning will be carried out on the specimens located inside the different parks of the municipality, which will last until DecemberThe Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development directed by José Guillén is carrying out the pruning of more than 20,000 mulberry trees located throughout the municipality.For these works, there are 6 teams that arrive in an efficient and coordinated way to all areas.

They will be carrying out these tasks until the beginning of December."The objective of this pruning is, in addition to revitalizing the tree and helping it in its development, guaranteeing the safety of citizens and making these specimens so characteristic of our city look in perfect condition and provide shade in the gardens and green areas of the municipality , places where neighbors can rest, meet, disconnect and enjoy our environment "has highlighted José Guillén.The first of the actions that is being carried out is the plywood of the lineups of specimens on walks.

This task is necessary to guarantee the safety of the neighbors, avoiding the fall of fruits, as well as reducing the fall of leaves in autumn that cause discomfort to pedestrians and prevent some of the branches from entering the balconies, patios or roofs of households.The fruitless mulberry trees in the gardens are not pruned, they are pruned for formation to avoid the fall of dangerous branches.
