Podemos will ask the Plenary that the City Council execute the game for conciliation for which Social Policy has no project (18/11/2020)

Councilor Clara Martínez Baeza will take a motion to the November ordinary plenary session in which she asks the municipal corporation that the Murcia City Council claim the proportional part of the 5 million euros that the State sent to the regional government for aid for conciliation.

The objective, according to the mayor of Podemos, "is to alleviate the stress and suffering that families are suffering due to the abandonment of functions of the Regional Government." After learning, from press statements that the Minister of Social Policy made to the media, that there is no project to execute the budget item that the State has sent to the Region in order to implement a conciliation plan, Podemos will ask in the ordinary plenary session of November, that the part that would correspond to the municipality of Murcia be claimed and executed directly by the local government.

"We cannot pay for the broken dishes of the mismanagement of a counselor who has been overwhelmed and who has shown total ineffectiveness in terms of social services.

We must serve the families and claim what is due to them." The councilor for the purple formation, Clara Martínez Baeza, recalled that the families of the Region have suffered "unprecedented stress since the pandemic was declared due to the closure of schools first and semi-presence and quarantines later.

No we can turn our backs on them for longer.

" The mayor recalled that Social Policy promised aid and the implementation of conciliation classrooms, for which, he says, "received a game from the State of 5 million euros.

Recently, and in statements to the press, the counselor herself acknowledged that she would not start up those classrooms and that she did not know how she would use that money.

"It is very serious, not only that he abandons the families, but also that he has no alternative plan." For all this, and before the suggestion that this money be sent to the municipalities, Martínez Baeza will ask the Plenary that the government team go ahead and request it directly for its execution.

"For this, it is also necessary to develop a conciliation plan and see how the money can be distributed so that it has the most effective impact on families and they can reduce the level of stress to which this Regional Government has subjected them since that the pandemic was declared.
