The PSOE accuses PP and Cs of eliminating 129 groups from the list of subsidies and endangering their projects already started (13/11/2020)

| The spokesperson, José Antonio Serrano, denounces that organizations such as Cáritas or Jesús Abandonado will now have to "beg" for help that before they received promptly "with the sole purpose that Ballesta can take a picture with them" | In addition, it warns that in a few days the financial year is closed and the aid not granted is lost, "which no longer implies a lack of sensitivity but of capacity and competence" The spokesman of the Municipal Socialist Group, José Antonio Serrano, has offered a press conference this morning during which he denounced the "insensitivity" of PP and Cs, partners of the Government team, which eliminated 129 organizations from the list of nominative grants and municipal collectives, thus endangering the projects they have been working on since the beginning of the year. They are organizations that carry out "essential work for social cohesion, a work that even substitutes tasks that should be the responsibility of some councils.

We are talking about Cáritas, Jesús Abandonado, Rasinet, Murcia Acoge, CEPAIM, Red Cross and Proyecto Abraham, Asepio … Even centers for the elderly and women ", explained Serrano, who pointed out that the subsidies that correspond to them represent a total of 2.8 million euros. Precisely, one of the concerns expressed by the spokesperson is that in a few weeks the financial year will be closed and it is likely that all the grants have not been allocated in time, so that money is lost, which implies "no longer lack of sensitivity but of capacity and competence ". Furthermore, Serrano, who at the press conference was accompanied by councilors Carmen Fructuoso and Esther Nevado, stated that this new way of proceeding by PP and Cs "is incomprehensible, as well as ineffective, since the organizations that do not appear in the list of nominative subsidies, like other years, remain in limbo and unnecessary uncertainty and insecurity are generated for free ".

He added that "since they do not know when and how much they are going to be paid, they cannot schedule themselves nor can they guarantee the salary of their workers." Given this, the socialist spokesman wonders: can Murcia Acoge, which receives 100,000 euros, commit to continue with its project of shelter for convalescent immigrants? For Serrano, this way of proceeding "entails unnecessary risks and dangers such as arbitrariness when leaving in the hands of the councilor on duty some aid that must be assured. "We believe that what used to be subsidies will now be agreements, in such a way that 129 agreements will be signed with the 129 groups that will produce 129 photos.

Everything for the PP has that sole objective, promotion and advertising, because of course, until now we have been taking photos of each pine plantation in schools, because from now on the photos will be with these organizations, "he declared. Serrano considers that with this procedure the PP and its partner, Cs, "are going to force the groups to beg for the subsidy that is urgent for the work they do.

We are going to see them parade through the City Council asking 'what about mine '". Likewise, it points out another danger, since "we can suspect that the granting of subsidies to the groups that least protest will be prioritized, it is a way of silencing complaints", and clarifies that this is what is planned with the 2020 budgets, but "Let's remember that there are no budgets for 2021, we will have to extend them." Of the 129 organizations, 41 are social services, 31 women's centers, 16 cultural groups, 14 centers for the elderly, 10 economic promotion organizations, 7 employment organizations that are dedicated to work among the disadvantaged, another 7 for celebrations and 4 for health. Therefore, it announces that it will take the motion approved unanimously in 2016 to plenary session, including Cs that made its own contributions, to design a Strategic Subsidy Plan that "not only has not been executed but has opted for a strategy opaque and suspicious.

This Plan is urgent and necessary to establish the criteria for granting subsidies.
