Specifically, the number of students has gone from 345 in 2019 to 1,078 so far in 2020, a notable increase in the number of people who decide to receive training from the municipal online campus.Increase in the training offerIn this way, in its second year of activity, the virtual campus, in addition to tripling the number of students, has paid special attention to promoting entrepreneurship and supporting business projects and social economy initiatives with actions focused on the formation.

This has resulted, as highlighted by the councilor responsible for the Employment service, Pedro García Rex, in a more than notable growth in the online training offer.DataIf the global enrollment data for 2020 are compared with those registered at the end of 2019, it is found that while 19 courses were held last year, in which 345 people participated, this year 23 courses have been held so far tutored, 40 self-training actions distributed in four editions and 10 training courses for employed workers, in which 1,078 people have participated.Variety of contentsLikewise, the range of content offered has been expanded, adding topics related to digital tools for SMEs, sports activities, nutrition, diet, pest prevention and food handling, computer design in architecture, online teacher training, commerce and marketing, equality of gender, development of sustainable projects and tourism.Training for the tourism sectorThis last proposal has focused on training on the tourist value of Murcia, its professionals and visitor service.

"This initiative, which has involved a total of 60 hours of training, has been a real success, for this we have had the participation of workers from small businesses, travel agencies and cultural and leisure facilities, tourist guides, taxi drivers and local police officers, "said the mayor of Employment.Three new virtual spacesIn addition, another difference compared to 2019 is the expansion of the Municipal Virtual Campus, which has gone from having a training area called 'Open Classroom' to developing three new virtual spaces: a 'Microformation Classroom', a 'Training Classroom 'for busy workers and a' Conference Room ', where the cycles of webinars are being developed and which also acts as a virtual classroom available to students and teachers of the training programs of the Employment service.RecipientsAll this training, financed by the Murcia City Council, is free, with the exception of the courses for employed workers that are subsidized by the SEF.
