The PSOE presents a motion to end the historical deficiencies of El Palmar (28/10/2020)

| "We cannot allow the little interest of the Government team in recognizing the complaints of the district with more inhabitants of the whole municipality", José Antonio Serrano, socialist spokesman | 24,000 neighbors ignored by their mayor.

The district of El Palmar has been demanding a series of lawsuits for years to which Ballesta turns a deaf ear.

"The poor condition of neighborhoods such as Las Casillas, the neglect of maintenance, the scarcity of parks, gardens, play areas, the unattended repairs of sports centers, the botched repairs of the municipal swimming pool or the deficit state of the public transport, are some of the complaints that, with good reason, the neighbors of El Palmar have and that nobody attends or solves, "explains the spokesman."El Palmar is the district with the largest number of inhabitants in the municipality.

This district, which is allowing Murcia to position itself as the seventh municipality in Spain, that which Ballesta likes to boast so much about, is in turn ignored by the council" José Antonio Serrano denounces.

"The little interest of this government team in recognizing and solving the demands of its population is not understood.

Do they not know that this lack of interest has a serious impact on the delay, bureaucracy and ultimately the inaction of actions in all areas to Those who have the right to Palmareñas? ", asks Serrano. For the Municipal Socialist Group part of the problem is due to the lack of decentralization of the management of the Murcia City Council.

"The districts of Murcia have what should be a decentralized body, the Municipal Councils, but if most of the procedures must be managed through the services of the Murcia City Council, we are making little progress," explains the spokesperson.

"In the end, there is a funnel in technical and administrative procedures that makes neighbors continue with the same problems as always, so from the PSOE we have always demanded a real decentralization that allows managing the day-to-day needs of the districts "."In the end, all this only highlights the lack of political will.

If it is not about embellishing the center with flowers or making pharaonic works in which to take photos, the interest of this government team is minimal.

of this are the motions and files approved or initiated by the Municipal Board of El Palmar and that remain in a drawer sleeping the sleep of the just, "protests José Antonio Serrano."Many of the claims that these neighbors have are very basic.

They have to do with being able to use public transport that allows them to get to their job, with having a park where their children can play or being able to use a soccer field without opening the head due to the deterioration of the equipment of the sports center ", protests Serrano. Therefore, the Socialist Municipal Group presents a motion to the October plenary session in which it demands a "real and immediate solution to these historical deficiencies of the district.

As the main opposition group, we are obliged to give a boost to El Palmar and we will not stop working until what we ask for in this motion is carried out, "Serrano informs.
