In addition, the project will extend to the entire city, establishing connections with the Segura river, the Artillery Barracks, the neighborhoods around the area; Actions that give the project its name: South Connection.Block 33.

Reestablish the fissure of the city.  Conceptualization: to repair the fissure in the city, compensating the growth towards the North experienced in recent years with the expansion of the southern part of the municipality; restoring that fissure with an urban suture and neighborhood renewal.Block 44.

Rebalance urban centrality.Conceptualization: along the lines of point 3, the centrality shifted from the north to the south of the city will be rebalanced.Block 55.

Two action scales are established:Conceptualization: in the surroundings in contiguous neighborhoods (Infante, El Carmen, Santiago el Mayor, San Pío X, Barriomar, Patiño and El Progreso) and action on a city scale.Block 6 and 76.

Integration and connection of mobility networks: road, pedestrian and public transport.7.

Creation of pedestrian and cycle routes.Conceptualization: the proposed solution must project not only the wheeled connections of private vehicles, but also public transport, pedestrian mobility and cycle routes, prioritizing the latter two.Block 8, 9 and 108.

Creation of spaces for stay and relationship.9.

Generalized use of trees and vegetation.Conceptualization: what will bring together all these spaces will be green, through landscaping and environmental elements, achieving a friendly perception of this new space in the city, designed for socialization and neighborhood coexistence.Block 1111.

Recovery and integration of patrimonial elements.Conceptualización: el área de actuación no es un espacio de nueva creación, sino que se trata de un entorno con elementos patrimoniales con una historia previa (como la antigua estación y elementos del trazado ferroviario), que se van a poner en valor e integrar en el nuevo entorno.Bloque 12, 13, 14 y 1512.

Carácter representativo de los nuevos espacios urbanos.

Especial consideración del entorno y nueva plaza de la estación del Carmen.13.

Innovación en diseño, soluciones constructivas y materiales.14.

Utilización de materiales y soluciones sostenibles.15.

Actuación ejemplar que sirva de base a sucesivas intervenciones.Conceptualización: el objetivo es alcanzar la excelencia técnica del proyecto, tanto en el diseño como en los materiales que se utilicen, con soluciones sostenibles, materiales de alta calidad, alumbrado de bajo consumo, vegetación con alta capacidad de absorción de CO2, etc.; cuidando al detalle cada una de las soluciones constructivas con un proyecto que sea referente y sirva de ejemplo para otras actuaciones futuras.Bloque 1616.

Proceso participativo.Conceptualización: Un proyecto abierto, participativo y consensuado con la sociedad civil murciana: a nivel social y ciudadano (barrios circundantes; totalidad de la ciudad), colectivos profesionales, Universidades, concurso de ideas, etc.Equipo de trabajoEl Panel de Expertos es un órgano que aportará con carácter periódico su visión, análisis y evaluación de las distintas propuestas asociadas a los proyectos de Conexión Sur, que tiene como protagonistas a los vecinos de Barriomar, San Pío X, El Progreso, Patiño, El Infante y Santiago el Mayor.En concreto, el equipo de trabajo está formado por los siguientes expertos externos:-Juan Pedro Sanz, vicedecano del Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos.-Andrés Martínez, decano del Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Agrónomos.-Manuel Jódar, decano del Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos.-José María Gómez, Catedrático de Análisis Geográfico Regional y profesor de Ordenación del Territorio de la Universidad de Murcia.-Roberto Liñan, de la Cátedra de Movilidad de la UCAM.-María del Pilar Jiménez, profesora contratada Doctora del área de Ingeniería e Infraestructuras de los Transportes, del departamento de Ingeniería Minera y Civil de la UPCT.-Prudencio Riquelme, decano de la Facultad de Ciencias del Trabajo.Por su parte, los técnicos municipales son:-Jesús López.

Jefe de la Oficina Técnica del Servicio de Parques y Jardines.Cabe destacar que el Panel de Expertos es uno de los distintos órganos y procesos consultivos que van a permitir dar forma a la transformación de los barrios y pedanías del sur.Panel Social, participación en redes sociales, Consejo Social y Comisión de Seguimiento, entre otras herramientasJunto a este panel, los órganos y herramientas del proceso de participación de Conexión Sur, que se abre a toda la sociedad murciana, son: el Consejo Social, la Comisión de Seguimiento del Convenio, un Panel Social, reuniones individuales con colectivos de referencia del municipio, participación en redes sociales, encuestas, foros de barrio, ágoras de cultura, economía y asuntos sociales, carpas informativas y actividades en centros educativos.La reunión de la Junta de Portavoces celebrada hace dos días, el lunes, marcó el inicio del proceso de participación y consulta.

La próxima semana tendrá lugar el Panel Social, cuya función es realizar aportaciones con carácter periódico a las distintas propuestas asociadas a los proyectos de Conexión Sur.Papel protagonista de los grupos políticosLos grupos políticos con representación en el Ayuntamiento de Murcia recibirán información periódica sobre la conceptualización y el avance en la redacción de los proyectos, así como sobre el desarrollo del proceso de consulta ciudadana.Con periodicidad al menos mensual, a través de la Junta de Portavoces, los responsables de todos los grupos políticos podrán hacer seguimiento del estado en que se encuentran los proyectos y de su desarrollo, así como de los avances producidos en los diferentes foros de reflexión y consulta, tanto en el ámbito técnico como el social.
