The University of Murcia exhibits a graphic exhibition on reinterpretations of advertising logos (26/10/2020)

| The exhibition 'Logo' by Jaime López Molina can be visited until November 20 at the Convalescence building | From this week, the University of Murcia exhibits the exhibition 'Logo' by Jaime López Molina, in the Black Box space of the Convalescence building.

The exhibition can be visited until November 20 from Monday to Friday, from 11 to 14 and from 18 to 20:30. The 'Logo' project is based on the symbolic nature of advertising elements and forms that have served in visual culture as tools for understanding and assimilation.

From them, the artist generates a new discourse through alteration, not only formal but also interpretive and conceptual. As the author explains, this alteration charges the project with a frivolous rhetoric, as a subversive discourse.

"Being sensitive to the assimilation of another discourse, even if it is grotesque, makes us question the state of dehumanization to which we are doomed and, consequently, a pragmatic resource around the idea of ??combating this dehumanization is the application of irony.

All this with so as to desecrate certain brands that have the category of divinity.
