The City Council installs information panels in the canine recreation areas to prevent Covid-19 (25/10/2020)

| The Parks and Gardens Service has intensified the cleaning work in the 51 dog recreation areas of the municipality, both in the game elements for the pets like the furniture in these spaces, disinfecting 3 times a day | The Murcia City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration directed by José Guillén, continues the cleaning and disinfection work in the canine recreation areas of Murcia to avoid Covid-19.The Parks and Gardens Service has intensified the cleaning work in the 51 canine recreation areas of the municipality, both in the play elements for pets and the furniture of these spaces, disinfecting 3 times a day.In addition, informative posters have been placed that indicate the limitation of access to 5 people at the same time in the same space, as well as the hours of use, from 7 to 23 hours and the security measures that refer to the use of a mask and gloves .Likewise, panels are also being installed that count the disinfections to date that have been carried out in each pipican and the schedules of these.The actions focus on each of the elements that make up the space, games and furniture, as well as the access doors and perimeter fences.

The areas are marked out when working on them and access is not allowed until the product has dried, which is in no way toxic."In these areas, we must also take extreme care, maintenance, hygiene and safety conditions.

These posters offer all the information that neighbors need so that their animals are in perfect condition and can enjoy the outdoors without any risk", José Guillén has explained.Rules in dog recreational areasIn addition to the rules that have been previously named by Covid-19, there are also rules established by the Zeca Network for canine spaces:- The animal must carry its chip and be registered and with insurance (in the case of some breeds). - You must have your vaccinations up to date and be dewormed, as this will avoid any type of problem for other dogs that use that space.- The owners of these animals are responsible for their behavior and for any possible problems with other animals.-Potentially dangerous dogs (PPT) must continue to wear the muzzle and approved insurance when they are within this space, as it is not an exclusive enclosure and can be used by other dogs.- It is not recommended that when the animals are in heat they are introduced into these canine recreational spaces.Maintenance so that they are in perfect conditionAmong the tasks carried out by the Murcia City Council, and thanks to the collaboration of the neighbors, to keep them in perfect condition are:- Disinfected authorized- Collection of possible animal excrement- Hole plugging if necessary (for safety reasons)- Review of branches that may make it difficult to stay in the area- Emptying bins- Replacement of bags to collect excrement- Bank review- Review of the possible irrigation system and the fountains installed thereIn this way, the Murcia City Council continues to work on the constant improvement of the different spaces and green areas of the municipality while continuing to work on expanding the number of pipicanes.
