| The maintenance work, which ends today Wednesday, will improve the safety of the section from the A-7 to its arrival in the municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas, where it begins to be nationally owned | The Department of Public Works led by Mario Gómez has begun pruning and cleaning tasks -which end today Wednesday- on the margins of the section of the N-344 that serves as access to the town of Las Torres de Cotillas from the A-7, whose responsibility corresponds to the Murcia City Council.The clearing and cleaning of the area, of approximately two kilometers, implies an improvement in visibility and circulation in the area.
At present, this road supports an average daily traffic intensity of 30,442 vehicles, of which more than 1,700 are heavy."This first action aimed at the conditioning and cleaning of the margins of the section of the N-344 improves safety in the area, after completing the cleaning of the vegetation ditches using manual brush cutters", explained the person in charge of Development.In this sense, Councilor Mario Gómez has indicated that the Department of Development will continue working, in a coordinated manner with the City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas, to study the implementation of other types of actions that allow improving the layout of this section of the N-344 and increase the safety of drivers in the area.
