Podemos will vote no on the 2020 municipal budgets (20/10/2020)

The spokesman for the municipal group Podemos in the Murcia City Council, Ginés Ruiz Maciá, has confirmed his negative vote in the Infrastructure, Finance, Economic Management and General Affairs Commission, where he has assured that these accounts "arrive late, arrive without consensus and do not they meet the deadlines since their execution time will barely be one month ".

The municipal budgets will reach the plenary session in an extraordinary session next Friday, October 23. The municipal group Podemos has announced, after the Infrastructure, Finance, Economic Management and General Affairs Commission, its negative vote on the 2020 municipal accounts.

The spokesperson for the purple formation, Ginés Ruiz Maciá, has warned that "these budgets they do not meet the deadlines established for their presentation and execution because when they are approved, they will have to be exposed for a month, with which their execution will be limited to just a few weeks.

Therefore, the councilors of Podemos will vote no next Friday, October 23, in the extraordinary plenary session that has been convened for this purpose. On the other hand, Ruiz Maciá has also called attention to the short time given to groups to study the accounts.

"They did not send them at the end of last week, therefore we have not had even seven days to read, study, compare and control the budgets well.

In this way they ensure that they have an opposition that hardly has any mechanisms of action to carry out their work." . The budgets have also not had "the consensus promised by the mayor since they have been made by the Popular Party, they have counted, it seems, with the approval of Ciudadanos, and the rest of the groups have limited ourselves to seeing them come." The spokesperson for Podemos in the Murcia City Council has missed an elaboration "from the consensus, counting on all groups and having as a priority the needs of Murcians and Murcians, not partisan interests or the power struggles to which the parties that make up the government team have, unfortunately, more than used to us ".
